Deze kredietvergoeding bestaat uit de wettelijke rente vermeerderd met een opslag. De wettelijke rente bedraagt momenteel 2%. De opslag bedraagt volgens de wet maximaal 12%. Sinds 10 augustus 2020 is deze opslag tijdelijk verlaagd naar 8% in verband met de coronacrisis. Deze tijdelijke verlaging geldt tot 1 juli 2022.
